Opened in the winter of 2005, the new San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino replaced the older casino facility that the San Manuel Band of the Mission Indians has owned and operated since 1986. Biosphere 2
Biosphere 2 is a University of Arizona research facility for studying ecosystems and includes a rain forest. It was originally built as a sealed self-sustaining environment to research and develop space colonization technology. Guided tours are offered. Many areas of the complex are wheelchair accessible.
